BIOCIDE for Closed Loop chilled water is a high performance, broad spectrum organic biocide scientifically formulated for the treatment of open re-circulating cooling systems. RXSOL-40-4008-210 is a superior quality treatment that is ideal for the control of bacteria, fungi and algae in open re-circulating cooling systems and evaporative condensers. RXSOL-40-4008-210 is a proven high performing product that is that can be used where exceptional performance is critical.

RXSOL-40-4008-210 is low foaming and effective over a broad pH range.

 

Application and Dosage

Typically RXSOL-40-4008-210 should be dosed to give 80 ppm (80 g per 1000 lt). Dose at 160 ppm (160 g per 1000 Lt) for heavily fouled systems. Do not mix with other chemicals. Can be dosed by hand or through automatic dosing equipment. It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use. This product also contails Benzotriazole , which is very effective  effective corrosion inhibitor for copper and its alloys by preventing undesirable surface reactions. It is known that a passive layer, consisting of a complex between copper and benzotriazole, is formed when copper is immersed in a solution containing benzotriazole. The passive layer is insoluble in aqueous and many organic solutions. There is a positive correlation between the thickness of the passive layer and the efficiency of preventing corrosion. The exact structure of the copper-BTA complex is controversial and many proposals have been suggested.
